Thursday, January 26, 2012 A lot of stuff went down one particular Saturday in January.
See it all here: Day In Time Gallery
Thank you to everyone who played this little game and helped to create a fun visual record of what this day in time brought for us.

Sunday, January 15, 2012 Today I had a nap dream that I went back to Lazaro Cardenas in Baja California, Mexico and my Spanish and 15 passenger van driving was perfect.* That's probably because I've been going through my photos of our December trip to share with you. I've picked 100 that I hope will show the spirit OSH creates on these house building trips, as well as the landscape of the community there. There are so many folds and creases of that town that I missed on just a week-long trip, but maybe you'll join a build and explore it for yourself some day. :)
You can see more photos on my Gallery page here.

Saturday, January 14, 2012 Where are you this day in time?
I'm calling all friends and strangers to take a photo today to share with me and my viewers. Life is about people and your relationships and I'd like to start 2012 off with seeing what you see. Please take a photo today, 1/14/12, and email it to me at shinyerica@gmail.com. Include a caption and location so we can tell what we're looking at.
By doing so you give me permission to post your photo on shinyerica.com, as part of what will be a great collection of glimpses of this day in time.
I'll be honored if you share a little bit of yourself with me.
Lots of Love,
Shiny Erica

Sunday, December 4, 2011 Long time friends of One Small House, Doug and Kevin, opened up their gorgeous home in Brooklyn to host a fundraiser dessert party. With a plethora of tasty goodness, adorable puppies, and supportive friends and family, it was a beautiful afternoon. It was awesome to hear the founder, Rob Katz, share an overview of all that's been accomplished this past year. I feel blessed to have been a part of it and and look forward to what's ahead. :)

Monday, November 21, 2011 The lovely mother-son power duo that is Artist of the Americas had an art show featuring 6 master painters from Cuba. The work was beautiful and I found what I'd like to look like in 50 years.

Sunday, October 16, 2011 This happened. We celebrated Joey Steele's 28th birthday at Medieval Times with scores of other birthday boys and girls ranging in ages from 8 to 40. I guess we're all a little weird at any age.

Wednesday, September 14, 2011 I had the great opportunity to work on State Farm's 9/11 tribute commercial that put me in a reflective mindframe several weeks before the 10 year anniversary. I knew I didn't want to let the day just pass by so I'm really grateful for the many memorials that happened around the city. Below is my view of the Tribute in Light from Sunset Park, Soho, and finally Pier 40. The Joyce Theater on Mercer St. had a full day of free music by some ..interesting ..musicians. From Roseanne Cash to a quartet that played terrifying horror movie scores, it was definitely an entertaining mix. Down at Pier 40 was a Japanese lantern lighting ceremony that, when back lit by the Freedom Tower, was pretty beautiful. What brought the occassion home was listening to interviews that Storycorps put together in honor of the people lost on that day. Below is one of the animated videos.
